Gooseneck or big deckover?

Why not cut off the walls and expand the bed? Put fenders over the wheels that can take the abuse of a 7000 pound rig and keep the load a little lower and more stable. I'd consider that.

The trailer's not really heavy duty enough unfortunately, or that would totally work.

My experience was that the rear wheels always seem to be rights where the trailer fender would be. You would have to build it so that the truck could ride on the new drive over fender. Not really what I would like myself.

I ended up getting a gooseneck deck over myself. Needs some work, which I am going through now. But, after towing both... a gooseneck is a lot nicer to pull. Big difference. As long you dont need the bed space... go for the gooseneck.

i got a 48 foot goose neck made by load haul i pull it has a 8x8 deck over the hitch itself it works out great I'll get some pics it works out great

I have pulled both and would definitely do the gooseneck direction. I have a few friends who have big bumper pulls but they are way more sensitive to how they are loaded, the gooseneck gives you a little more leeway when loading.

I plan on doing the camper on a 42 ft gooseneck one of these days it will be a while though lol
