I am thinking about just rebuilding my 350TBI instead of messing with the headache of transplanting a 454 and new tranny, etc... The rebuild is only 820.00. The cam kit would be 100-200+. A chip looks to be around 200. Do you guys have any ideas as for what cam and chip I should get? Now the wife wants to 3/4 ton the burb. She still wants it to have more power. What a woman!!!

P.S. Jet just replied to my e-mail. They won't make a cam recommendation
Should I canx the cat or get a high flow? Emissions is not an issue

Call Comp Cams and talk to their tech guys...Tell them what you plan on using the engine for and all the sepcs and they will recommend a cam.

Get yourself a good set of heads to go with your cam. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I got sick of this riddle... so I got rid the 350 TBI. /forums/images/graemlins/woot.gif

Gonna put in a 6.2L diesel and piece together enough 6.5TD parts to turbo it. The way things are looking, I'll have it all together for under $1k /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif

Yeah, what he said. Mine runs pretty good with a mild Comp Cam. The best advice on cams comes from the experts at the cam manufacturers.
