Got any cool tools lately?

I want one for the hard to reach bolts that are stubborn and make you ratchet every step of the way out.
I use the pneumatic one now but it's way too loud for my liking.
Get a bunch of rusted header bolts or something like that,. Powered ratchet is way nicer to remove em.
Some can be pretty stubborn. Just enough the air ratchet won't do it, but still gotta put some force in the hand ratchet after it's broke free-ish. That's what I want it for

Yeah, this is waaay waaay quieter than my air ratchet. And dont have to fool w/ the hose getting in the way. It's not strong, manually torque/loosen but it will spin it in/out no problem, esp in tight quarters.

It's supposed to cinch down then you torque.
Rigid just came up with the ratchet, I am waiting for the price to go down a bit

I've been wanting a good 3/8 electric ratchet. Just seem none of them have any torque. Couple claim 50-60 ftlbs. But the ones that do are brands im skeptical about their accuracy.
So I went to check now and the 1/2" ratchet is down from $199 to $129
But the also have the right angle impact in 3/8" down to $129 as well, 250lbs of torque.
I might get both.Screenshot_20231201-185750_Brave.jpg

I have had a 1/2" air ratchet for ? 25 years ? Is almost brand new. Slammed and trapped my hand against the near hard spot, can't let go of trigger, to many times. Unless you are working on big rigs with a lot of room, and use both hands on the tool, I don't recommend 1/2" drive ratchet. I love a 3/8" and 1/4 air ratchets still use at times. Last year I got a Makita electric 90° ratchet, it will do 1/4 or 3/8" drive. Can't break a tight bolt loose, can locked to break stuff manually, is quite. My only dislike is how long it is doesn't fit well in as many places as my 3/8 air ratchet.

The rigid 3/8 is kinda torquey I believe.... But having a full size battery on it would make it hard to get down in some places too

I know, I have been using air ratchets for 22 years.
Just changing to 18v

I’ve got the fuel 3/8 ratchet and I love it. Fits well, decent torque and if it doesn’t break a bolt loose the tool is big enough for solid leverage to break it loose manually.

I haven’t had it for long but it has prevent to be extremely handy.

I have the fuel in the truck bag but the non fuel is the daily shop tool. Fuel definitely has more cojones.

Well... Not a new tool, but a new repurposing of a recent one lol.

Had to change the oil pressure sensor in the Denali. Which fuggin BLOWS. So I made an over head platform to lay on and reach behind the engine.:waytogo:

As I'm outside using my old school , 30 year old, Snap-On, 3/8 drive, air powered, knuckle buster. Small enough to get to most stuff, strong enough to get most stuff off and on.
Drawbacks? Yeah it's got an air hose attached, yes it's pretty loud and you better be paying attention when you get to almost tight. It will smash the bejeezus out of your entire hand if you're not careful. And, leave you pinned to your vehicle. Make sure the button is away from the flat surface, or you may have to disconnect the air hose to get her to let go.

I have their power bleeder and love it. I'll never pump brakes again. I might have to adapt the hose to use it as a power fill though

I have a power bleeder from the same place as well, I would be a little worried about using it for oils and mixing the fluids.

I made a pressure bleeder out of a $15 weed sprayer. I keep modified caps around that I swap out for whatever vehicle I'm doing. Fills the reservoir and bleeds the brakes all at the same time. Then I have a big clear jar that has the catch hose off the bleeder hooked to it.

For cool tools..... Wife bought me one of these for Christmas. Between the sale and 20% off it was $110.
Kind of disappointed that it doesn't use solvent based cleaner. It uses a generic form of simple green. Oh well.
