@mrk5 is that whistle real? Sounds like both a joke and an ingenious tool. :eek1:

@obijuank5 story? You’ve never struck me as a gold ratchet guy, you seem too practical for that.

I’ve been on a Mac socket set kick lately and had been trying to find a 1/4” drive metric kit. Well, feast or famine, ended up with 2. :doah: I’ll probably put one of them back on eBay. :surepal:

When I as a kid my grandma had one or two gold spoons, a gold fork, and a gold metal tumbler cup... I would near fistfight someone if they tried using them when I was there lol. They were MINE. My aunt and uncle figured it out and started messing with me of course :doah:.

A gold ratchet poking out of my mess of chit would probably make a few people ask questions lol.
I love the couple Icons I have. Good solid tools.

one looks to be in better shape than the other

Yeah the round logo box is high mileage; every piece has “Tony” engraved on it, it’s missing 3 sockets and the case doesn’t hold the tools in place of you turn it on it’s side.

The square logo box it literally like new with only 3 sockets showing any use. Really nice tools.

If I can figure out how to fix the round logo box I’ll put the new tools in it and sell the left overs.

I’m tempted to squirt some expanding foam in the hollow cavity to raise the tool tray part up but I’m scared of screwing it up.

I like this thread gives me lots of ideas on what I need next. The heat gun I have been thinking about for a while, I also need a 1/2 drive impact, and more metric tools (That hurts to admit).

I picked up a cheap HF freight heat gun 2 years ago and have surprised at how many times I’ve used it, really handy tool.

First time I ever saw it was a couple weeks ago looking up how to do my distributor re-install. At about 2:40

I was like "how have I never heard of this tool before?!

I have always used the lead for my compression/leak down tester. Just put my thumb over the quick connect and hit the crank button.
