got my new/used transfer case adapter

well wish me luck tomorrow i will put it in. should be fun cause ill be by myself. hope it doesnt kill me.
ill take some pics as i pull it and post em up. looks good no cracks so i will try it out.

Did it come painted? If so I would look it over really well for cracks as their known for it (as you found out). Don't forget to buy the seals that go inside the adapter.

Ya i just stripped it and checked it out, and have the seals to change them will re-paint blue

after i finish stripping it, ill install the seals with my handy installer

then this is how i plan on pulling it myself, i drilled two holes into the trans jack adapter and will bolt it to the jack adapter and lower it down so it no squish me...hahaha

make sure you get the seals correct . oil side gets spring on seal side .

did mine in my old 205 years ago . . . . got tranny side wrong and always got atf in the t-case slowly over a month . had to drain it off . . . and add new to tranny also . what a pita that was .

Your plan should work fine. I have a similar set up that I used to take my 205 out, but not back in as of yet.

crunch ^^^ ouch. well i have to put in the front drive shaft then done but ill do that in the morning. the darn thing fell off the jack even though i had it chained. took three hours to get it back on the jack. that was no fun but i did it.

it was cracked front and back so it would not be long before it did what Skunked posted. here are a few more.
i used the 2b4 to keep it stable comming out going back in it fought me.
