ya chains saved me when it rolled of the jack
Transfer cases among the worst things to keep planted on a transmission jack ,without them tilting or flopping around at the worst moment..safety chains are a must!..
I saw a photo online of someone who put a burlap bag of sand between the jack and the transfer case before putting the chain around it--supposedly this kept it from moving around during the install..have not tried that myself,but it seemed like a good idea,that might work..
