i cant see the pics but dont know how to fix it anyway. i use rope and another truck

Sorry, no one mentioned, including me, to leave at least one wrap around the drum.................
Ya can take that terminal and get a similar one at NAPA and solder it or crimp it real good.

can i just use a recovery strap in its place until i can get a new cable?

well i`m just going to use the strap for now...

DirtyJim what time do you think i should come and can i get directions to where we`ll meet?

ok guys what should i do, just get a new end and holp it holds so i can reel it back in, use the strap in the cables place for good, or just use either the strap or cable for now untill i can get some synthetic winch rope from TRAILTOYS (vender from here)

alright i got the new terminal, now how do i crimp that on the cable?:eek1:

alright i got to cut the section of frayed cable off....so whats the easy way to do it?...that suckers thick

wrap some tape tightly around the cable where you plan to cut and clip it with bolt cutters if you have them... there may be a better way but thats what we do here and it works allright

I used my cutt-off wheel :wink1:

but I too did the tape deal!!!!

well i never got around to fixing it, but a quick question before i do....does it matter how big(wide) of a chizel bit i use to crimp the cable/terminal?
