So, a guy I work with who I thought was a 'friend' ****ed me over the other day. He was looking for a 208 in junkyards to replace his busted one, and found (what he thought was) a K20. He asked me to take a look at it with him, so, I did. I go look at it, it's got a 6.2/th400/208.... I take a look underneath it, Dana 60 and those thick ass rear springs, obviously it's a K30, and the junkyard guy doesn't know what he's got, and my 'friend' didn't know either. The junkyard was wanting $1000. My 'friend' needed the th400 and 208, and was considering doing a 3/4 ton axle swap. Problem was, he didn't have any money at all, and was talking about getting a loan. I told him the truck was not a k20, but a k30 with a dana 60. I had the cash availabe. I made an offer to him..... I was going to buy the truck, gank the D60 (cause he didn't need or want it), then set him up with my two 3/4 ton 10 bolts, and give him the entire truck. He was then going to pay me back $500 whenever he could, no interest, no hassle. I thought I was helping him out by making available all the parts he needed to get his truck back running. I could have just bought the whole truck for myself right then and there, but didn't because i'm a nice guy and wanted to help him out. We were both going to get a hell of a deal. I was getting a $500 d60, and he was getting an entire K30 minus a d60 but with my two 3/4 ton front ends for $500. We couldn't find a truck and trailer to haul it home that night, so we were going to wait til the next day to go buy it and get it hauled home. I show up to work the next day, he didn't mention anything at all for a while, so I ask him about the truck and he said, "oh, I went and bought it last night." So, still trying to be nice, I asked what he was going to do with the D60, and he said, "someone is going to give me $750 for it." That pissed me off. We had a deal. And he didn't have the balls to just tell me what he wanted to do. He just decided upon himself to cut me out. I knew he couldn't have gotten the money the night before, I figured out that he just told me he bought it to buy him some time so he could go buy it that night. I immediatly went to the bank pulled out $1200 and went and offered the guy $1200. He was a real honest guy and said, no, I already made a deal with the other guy. hmmm.... sure is nice when people keep their word when they make a deal, itsn't it?

That piece of **** lying no-balls back stabbing shady ass chicken **** mother ****er can shove that D60 up his ass for all I care now. This is a guy I work with and, I even went over to his house to help him pull his transfer case 2 days before this. :angry1:

In todays dog-eat-dog world, its every man for himself, friends or not. I would have paid for the truck right away. This is one thing I learned over my years of wheeling and dealing that if you want something bad enough, buy it and pay for it immediately.

The most important thing to remember is to NEVER do business with friends or family. Ever. Do your business and get out as quick as you can.

**** that, I have values. I help friends in need, and I keep my word. I'm not about to **** over a friend like that. I guess I do need to keep a better eye out on who is a friend and who isn't.

Walk up to him in front of your/his peers and ask him about the truck y'all were goin' split...........:wink1:

yeah, what dontoe said....i would call him out in front of a bunch of people. tell him exactly what you just told us, just don't be a deuch about it and start calling him names, try to resist. he will be embarrased and others will learn not to go out of their way to help this idiot out. what a *ick man....people like that piss me off.

 I HATE PEOPLE LIKE THAT!

GAWD this stuff pisses me off! yeah definetly call him out on it in front of people...:D

i agree about the whole all for yourself thing...im more than willing to help anybody out with their trucks and get nothin in return except maybe water and food...:D but when its my turn to get help i expect to revieve it...course it dont always work that way:mad: ah well...just gives me more experience an they get F*cked in the long run:D

All I wat to know is where you found a yard down here that actuallt had a K30 and didn't know it? I need to head your way.

One other word of advice: next time you find a K30, don't tell ANYONE that its a K30 unless they know.
Most people don't know the difference or can't tell since 8 lugs is 8 lugs. Your friend assumed it was a K20, so you should have left it at that. Never, ever, speak out loud of any truck that has a D60 under it. Play dumb, pay for it, and leave. Once you get home, then you can shout for joy.

Reminds me of how i got my d60!
i found 2 1 ton 4x4's for $500 a dually and a single wheel both had sm465's 205's d60's and 14b's. AND RUNNING 454'S! Well my friend owed me $300 and said well ill just buy them and give you the parts you want for the $300 i owe you. I said well ok you know i want the SW d6014b trans and x-case out of the one truck and you can HAVE the rest. HE thought that was a good deal so thats exactly what we did. Well a few months later he comes and tells me i owe him $500 on top of the trade. This was after i helped him sell both 454's for $500 each. I flipped out called him everything but a white man let him know exactly what i thought of him. Well a few days later he appoligized said he wasnt sure what he was thinking and offered me $300 to call it good. I didnt take the money told him friends are friends deals are deals and to make sure he remembered that in the future. About a year later he moved to be closer to his kids and i havent talked to him since.

this is so true. i should have kept my mouth shut.

everyone at my work already knows the story, and everybody's reaction was the same... they all know how big of a douchebag this guy is. he has that '**** it' i dont give a crap about anyone or anything but myself attitude. he was telling people at work that we never did have a deal......

I'm done with this guy. I even drove this guy to the airport on a thursday, and covered for him when he 'called in' on friday. I even drove BACK to the airport to pick up his knife from security when he tried to bring it on the plane. :doah:

I don't under stand people like this its just all ******. I had a little deal with my friend (Chevy305) and because I'm an honest it all went well.

I told him I could get him everything to convert an 8 lug 14BSF to a six lug. So he came to me work with me on my day off we both pull the 6 lug stuff off a SF shafts, drums, backing plates and all, we get up to go pay I tell them its for me they say take it and pay the boss what he wants tomorrow . I say ok, Glenn had to go and left me with 200 bucks and the next day my boss gave it all to me for free and I didn't low blow Glenn I told him it was all free and sent him all 200 bucks back via paypal. I could have said it was 100 and kept some cash but no I didnt because I dont **** over friends and I will never ever do it.

But some people just make me sick!!
