Skipped out on a b-day party this past weekend to rebuild my inside panels on the blazer... Spent $30 to rebuild the panels and today got to spend $300 for a new bookcase to go in the den... Asked my wife if we really needed the bookcase and she replied that with the money I saved by doing the panels myself the bookcases were hardly costing us anything... At that point I new it would be easier to just go ahead and spend the dough... At least the panels came out looking sharp...

next time go for $300 on the blazer and $30 on her! LOL!! If your wife is like mine that would never work!

You need to take lessons from the government about hiding expenditures...keep it in a secret file! LOL!!!

Hahahaha ROFLMAO Ohhhhhh boy she knows this game!
Now polish up a Carb and put it on the book shelf and tell her it's a conversation peice and a bunch of us will head over and compliment her on the decorating :)
I was going to make a glass top coffee table out of the smoked Supra motor I have in the garage.....Hay I like it...twin cam alumiunum head and if I pollished it all up it would have looked great! People sell V12 Farrie engines like that for $10k! Wife didn't go for it. hahaha

Explained your idea of art deco to the wife and she now has two rules for the house... #1 no stuffed animals and now #2 no car parts... The coffee table idea sounds pretty cool... I really hated #1because I caught a 350 lb wild boar over in sparta a few years ago and would have looked great on the wall... Really wanted to put it up because it was one of the toughest ones we ever caught... Caught it w/ two dogs and took us 4 hours to haul it back to the truck... Would have paid 10,000 for an atv that day LOL.

Sounds like your wife needs to join my support group. As for the guy wanting to make a table out of an engine...Sorry man but I am with your wife on that one. If you had said an old tire, then I proably would have agreed with you. See I have an old tire off of Dale Jarrett's race car that we intend on turning into a table eventually.

Nope! No car/truck parts in the house. Grimmy wants a bigger shop so bad that if I ever let the first part in the house he'll find a way to make the house his new shop.

It's a good thing my wife doesn't like computers, because she'd probably be all over the support group too! Then, we'd end up battling over who's turn it is on CK5. Then, she'd want her OWN computer so we could be on at the same time. MORE MONEY!!!

Hey Lady-Reaper, all the other wives are gonna get jealous when they see that you get a special title under your name and they're all 'strangers'
