Project "RESPAWN" - 1972 K5 Blazer

Cool stuff here!
Looks like for what ever reason my new sending unit is not working properly, crap right out of the box, gotta love it.

Dorman for the win!
Part number 692-056

I will need to switch the pump and sender wires around, probably on the Blazer side. Thinking PO switched the tan wires around at the gauge and power side.

Thank God I tested the sender before putting the tank up and filling with gas.

The Walbro GCA758-2 just came in. The picture from Summit shows a connector for the pump with nothing on the other ends but it does come wirh a connecter that connects to the factory sending unit. Nice so I don't have to wire the other end! :saweet:

As cool as the koozie looks, it's coming off as I guess it can retain heat when not submerged.

Got a couple of tanks in, decided to go with the Spectra Premium GM15 C tank. Forgot to mention a few things in the video but you get the idea...

Looks like there is some surface rust spots starting in the dorman.

I've always put one on, they quiet the pump down and the pumps seem to last. Plus you shouldn't usually be running your tank in the bottom 1/4 anyway, as the fuel cools the pump, that's more important than whether you have a sleave or not.

As, did you use a prefilter sock? I think that's important for pump life, those tiny gearotors don't like debris.

Yes, I actually have 2 different socks, just didn't have one on in the picture, you could say I have a pair of socks. Haha

Any leads where a guy could find a fuel filler hose about 16.5" long wirh 1.75" inside diameter on both ends?
Here is a pic of my old one...

I literally just ordered this one for mine since it got a hole somehow. I saw Kartek also sells the clear fill hose in 1.75" but wasn't sure about it for my stock application...

Do you know what the inside dimensions and how long that hose is?
I just saw this one for about the same price that I think might work: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dac-80304
A person asked at the bottom of the page. Summit "expert" said ~26" and 1.8" ID meant for 1.75" application.

The one you linked looks a lot like the one I currently have. And i hate it. Absolutely most pain in the butt hose to install/remove. That said its theoretically cheaper per foot.
