Yeah I don't care if people e-mailed them except the guy was pissed at me for it. I talked to them yesterday and they are dropping off the new one and picking up the wrong one this week on my doorstep.

I told her she should tell the guy to come on here and apoplogize, but I guess he is too grown up. Too bad they could make some money off of this site they have good prices /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

my reply makes perfect sense.
think about it. was he asking for everyone to e-mail the company and say anything? no. he was asking if anybody had had problems with them or good business.

now, im sure you wrote an e-mail AFTE the reply from the company was made. that i can understand. BUT had 1-ton not sent them the e-mail he did then i doubt the reply from the company would have even been made. yes, its bad business on the company for posting that, but is it the owner? i doubt it.

as for it being posted in a public place, yes you are right.
but it still did not warrant someone else to step in like they did. the problem was fixed. and it should have been given a chance to be fixed before someone else got into it un invited.

Well here is the latest update. The Fed-Ex guy came to my door today wooohoooo. I was soo happy then I opened the box. 9500XP /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif WTF I already have one of those in my garage. This one shipped from a different warehouse than the first wrong one so apparently something is wrong in their part number listing between the business and the warehouse. I called them and they have another Ti (I think) /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gifon it's way in the morning and it should be the right winch this time I hope. What are the odds of this recieving the same wrong product from two different warehouses?? Too bad the 16.6 Ti was mislabeled as the 9.5Ti /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Anyway the company was very apologetic and I don't believe the mistake was really in their control something at the warehouse is wrong for sure though. So I should have it by Mon next week at the latest I hope /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

OK today they call and leave a message I call them back. Apparently every "Ti" they have on the shelves of both warehouses are 9500 XP's /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif So they have no thermometrics at all, and their best guess is they'll have some in 6 weeks. Got my money back and I'm calling Clemson. They've got it for $899. $25 dollars is worth it if he'll just send me what I buy /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Sorry I'm just irritated as hell right now this has been like three and a half weeks screwing around with this company /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

You know, it's kind of humorous really.

With the original posts, things are not looking good, but we all know that problems happen in these deals. Especially with shipping, or an remote order through a middle man filled wrong. It happens… And the initial contact resulting in less than stellar customer service… yeah, sometimes you get a jerk on the phone. Maybe they just got off the phone with a jerk (I could not work with the public, I would kill someone and spend the rest of my life in jail), or they had a bad day, their wife left them (or didn’t! ), or whatever. I think most of us take that kind of feedback as a bit of a precaution, but at the end of the day, a single bad feedback probably is not going to have a huge effect on purchasing decisions in the months to come as long as no more red flags surface, depending on the details of course...

On the other hand, that single pathetic, irrational, and childish tirade has cemented this company in all our minds as the worst possible company to deal with. Their own post has done more harm to them than 10 negative responses from customers. Any sane person operating a business surely would have to come back and apologize for that public outburst and personal attack on his wife. But even if they do, the majority will still continue to see it as a CYA attempt and the damage will be pretty much irreparable without a HUGE effort. And I can’t see that kind of effort expended by a company that obviously has consistently rotten custom relations considering the tone and content of their tirade. It pretty much backs up all the previous accusations as 100% on target, if not understated.

Exactly BadDog. when I asked patiently for a discount for all of my troubles i was told NO (by the nice lady) because they would be losing money. I could have kept the second winch to cost them more money to send it back but I refused delivery because I just wanted my product. I know it was a supplier/warehouse mistake, but isn't that part of your company???? I am the only one who has ordered a 9500Ti and recieved an XP if every one labeled as a Ti was an XP? I'm just speaking up as a consumer to a company that won't make it right. Being "sorry" doesn't fix things like this sometimes. Things may have been different if they had called me (instead of me calling them every day) and said "Hey we had a mistake here it's gonna take about 6 weeks to get your winch from Warn, but how about we knock off 10%" or even %5. That would probably have kept me. Is saving $90 really worth the feedback from this transaction? The owner aleady knows this has been made public, and in this day and age we all know how information (especially bad) travels on the internet.
