Gov Surplus - GM Cucv Front Axle Assemblies, 8 bolt hub, new.

Oh ****...that's like 2 hours from me...

Bet it goes high dollar though.

It is like finding the WW2 jeeps still in the crate. If you by both you could sell one to recover some of the loss. Now we just need to see how one could be shipped to WA.

I'm about 1 1/2 hours away from there. You can buy them and I will pick them up and hold onto them until you can drive out and pick them up.. I will do you a favor and keep one of them for you.:D

That may not be to bad of a deal. Say that it only sells for $150-$300. I'm planning a road trip in a sedan this spring out your way. Problem is that my K5 is not running. I'm not sure how I would get one shipped back. They also are selling new military 14 bolts. My guess is they all have the same ratios that are milspec. It would be sweet to put these new axels in the K5.

And as far as getting them back home in a car.... Well I have torches and a sawsall. We will make them fit.:weld:

JEGs is from my home town (Delaware). There new main distribution center is about 4 miles from my house. Just incase you wanted to know..

Funny quote of the year! :haha::haha::haha::haha::haha:

No doubt, I haven't seen any super deals on that site in probably 5 years. There used to be some gems, but since word got out in all the mags, prices have gone way up.

I remember when 4 Wheel & Off Road mag first published about the auctions and even listed the website that I used to buy 4 M1008's.

I was pissed off they printed that info. Ever since that article came out, all the prices went thru the roof on the M-trucks. After that, i was done with those auction sites. The days of getting cheap M's were over.

Out of the 4 I've bought in the past (before the 4WOR article), the most I paid for a complete truck was in the $700 range. The least was $350.

I was tempted to write a letter to 4WOR at that time but slept on it and forgot about it the next day. That mag made my s h i t list after that.

I'm not even upset with them for publishing public information.

It's just the mooks that work at GovLiq that bug me. Some of the crap the guys on SteelSoldiers and other places have gone through to get the vehicles they won and also the incorrectly listed ads...BS. Not worth the hassle.

What year did they publish the article?

2002 or 2003.
Somewhere around those years.

And that was somewhere around those years that marked the last time I ever got an M1008 thru auctions. I resold them back out as whole or parts and still made pretty good coin off them.

Today I don't even waste my time with the govt. auction sites. I'm just back to buying, parting, scrapping whatever I can find around here locally.

Damn 4WOR magazine. :flipoff2::flipoff1::flipoff9::flipoff6:

So auction price seam to be going about 2K for the CUCVs. They don't run so it is a gamble.
Oh so they've come down on prices now? I remember not long after the 4WOR issue, all those M's were averaging 3K to 4K as non-runners. Thats why I never went back.

If they've been selling for $2K or less, then I may have to get back into the game again.

maybe it all depends on location also. I check but rarely see any Chevys for sale in WA on gov surplus. If you get in the game save me a Dana 60 and 14ff axle.. new in the crate
