Grand thing...

I used to have a 97 grand with the 5.2 v8. Very fun to bomb around in like I was a racecar driver. The 4.0L ones are better in my opinion. They were also part time 4x4. Mine was AWD. We have a regular Cherokee for the run around rig at work and its a blast to drive. Lots of power for the weight of it. Add chassis stiffeners before you do anything. They say they do wonders with the amount of flex those unibodies have.

for a lift, and you might already know this; but you can put the front springs in the rear and get a 3-3.5" lift, then buy some coils and shocks for the front and shocks for the rear for a cheap option. Rough Country even has a kit put together that uses this option.

Houston we have a problem...
Look like I have to take the # 4 rod to the machine shop to have it resized. The big end is out of round.
:frown

I hear ya. I bought a 95 a few years ago for my then wife. They're great for cruising around in.

Got the rod back nice and round and finished the rotating assembly. Slid the cam in and timing chain/ gears are on. Went to freight of the harbor and bought a solvent tank to start cleaning parts...

Haha, thanks. I have noticed it turns out nicer when youto take your time when you have to wait for the money to buy the next part. Giving half your paycheck to someone you hate really sucks.

The K5 is working really well and I can't afford to do tons and doubler at the moment so jeep tinkering it is for now I guess. As long as i'm working on something i'm happy.

I'll get some gears ordered and we can swap those out. :dunno:

The Jeep engine is looking good by the way.

Flexplate is getting swapped out for a run of t shirts.

Hx35 would sure make that complete then you wouldn’t need the doubler or the gears.. just saying... gotta be the cleanest 4.slow I’ve ever seen! Dammut drive it good ol ca and visit to drink beers..

10-4. I do miss having a boosted ride. There's just something about it. Maybe cause it brings back feelings of the good ol two stroke powerband pull.
Mmm. Beers!
