Grey ghost

Since part of the inner cab corner was still solid metal and attached to the truck, I fabricated one. Welded it in. I do not claim to be a welder, but, its not going anywhere.

At least it will be hidden, lol.

No, I have not. The floor pan will correct the remaining issues. Looks worse than it is.

They sure made it difficult putting everything together at the factory. geesh

Does anyone know what this is. It appears to be a line coming from the engine and going into the oil filter. It looks like the leak is coming from there.

I guess the pictures did not load, sorry about that. Here they are

Whatever it is. It’s looks as if it is cooked.

Do you have an aftermarket oil pressure gauge in the truck? That looks like a line for one.

Going to make an attempt on Monday to locate a wire or line c9ming off of it. It is possible someone put one on and then removed it. The oil pressure and temp gauges don’t work. More than likely the sensors.

Been a while since the last post. Finished the front pans. Lots of work left. All the work thats needs finishing has to be done indoors. So, I am waiting on. 24x35 shop to be completed.

Now that the barn is finished, I began the daunting task of cutting out the tailpan and side posts all of which were no bueno.

After cutting the tail pan and removing it. I found that by cutting about an inch of the inner bed, it was easier to remove the inner post. I also made a relief cut at the top and bent the side rail upwards.

The inner posts were gone, as well as the tail pan. So as hard as it was, I cut and removed the floor. Then the fuel tank. This girl was rusty.
