Grey ghost

At this point I am about worn out with the rear end of this truck. Lol.

The Lmc posts do not have holes drilled and tapped for the striker bolts. Nor does it have a slot cut to accept the studs on the front of the posts. Do not throw away the original one until you get measurements or a pattern.

The rear pan is in and like all aftermarket parts, does not fit perfectly. So the ridges on the old and new don't match, grrr.

So, I am here. I cut an access hole for the fuel tank, seam sealed all joints, and cleaned the fuel tank.

The anti squeal kit for the fuel tank that lmc sells is nothing more than felt paper for your roof. Do yourself a favor and got to lowes and buy a roll. I dod by new straps for the fuel tank as well.

On a side note, I purchased an energy suspension body mount kit and hardeware from offroad design. I started putting the body mounts in place and the old units were shot. When I finished the right side I noticed I am five nuts short. They sent 4 smaller nuts which are useless .

Finally got the tailgate back on. Only after having to fight it not aligning properly. Also, I put a new fuel pump in on the old assembly. Now it starts and dies and will start while pressing the accelerator. Any suggestions?

Way to stay after it! That work seems to take forever, but it feels so good when you're done and see the difference.

Good luck on the fuel issue.

Definitely not what you would want as first time project, but, I am all in now so, away we go.
