Want to know what's really odd? Less than an hour ago I dug this thread up for the first time months, typed up a solid paragraph about the future of the Blazer, then thought better of it and didn't post it. Now you dug it up for me.
Anyway, that Dodge is a super clean, especially for $900. If it was a 4x4, It'd be worth going to take a peek at. It'd still be a hell of a nice tire burner with a nice small block in it.
I guess I need to share what the paragraph was about, so here's the condensed version. Myself and a friend messed with the Blazer some today. New cap, coil, ignition module, rotor, plugs and wires. Put a new fuel filter on it, plugged all the vacuum leaks we could find, got it timed as best as we could, and I go the little 2bbl Rochester a good as I can, Now it's running like a sewing machine, but still has about as much power as a sewing machine. So at some point we're going to pull it out and rebuild it with some peppy parts. Some of which I can get from a friend, A Holley 850 Double Pumper, an Edelbrock Victor Jr. Intake, and some long tube headers. I'll have to buy the rebuild kit, cam, and pistons.
After that, I'll be getting the same lift as
@Phil513, then the only expensive thing left will be tires.
I also no longer really care about re-doing the interior. After I put the console in it, it totally changed the feel inside of it, so besides putting the other gauge cluster in it, it'll just stay as it is.
