Probably China where a lot of LMC's stuff comes from. It is for looks or for function.

JCWhitney has the same guard but the mounting is different, it doesnt even mount to the bumper, it mounts below it
LMC hasn't let me down, JC Whitney has

Since corporate america sold out MADE IN USA very little is made here, the items that are made here are are usually subpar to China made stuff. Really is sadJCWhitney has the same guard but the mounting is different, it doesnt even mount to the bumper, it mounts below it

I had no issues with them, but I just bought body mounts and e brake cables.

How long ago did you buy your body mounts? I bought some from LMC and installed them about 3 years ago and the rubber is already cracking. Same with window seals.
They sell crap...
I have had both good and bad with LMC.
Their new Euro marker lights are badass. Good quality and look great. Other stuff like the chrome side molding is great quality, and even their overseas made brushed alum tailgate band seemed pretty good.
Their wheel well trim seems hit and miss, weather stripping, and their grille molding kit was total crap. Cheap plastic mounting pieces that just fall off the trim. The corner pieces aren't shaped formed at all for the curve of the fender.
I've read here that Classic parts is a great place to get stuff. I will find out personally as I will receive a hefty shipment of parts from them on Wednesday. One thing about CP is that they carry a lot of items that are NOS GM replacement parts, where LMC carries 98% aftermarket replacement parts.
How do you mount the brushed alum tailgate? Is that glued on or does it take bolts?
yep.the one i had on my dually was bolted on with like 5 or 6 bolts, i believe if i remember, they are studs on the back of the panel that go through holes in the tailgate, then nuts on the inside of the tailgate.
