Probably been asked before, but I couldn't find it by searching. What is everyone using for valvestems on H1 12bolt wheels?

There was a couple threads on here just about 2 weeks ago about this. I believe the consensus was to drill the hole out and use regular valve setms.

what is wrong with the valve stems on the H1 rims?? there bad ass...i just kept mine on there.....all metal, u cant beat that...ive ripped out 3 on one trip..no more :D

I'm switching mine out, cause out of 5 rims, I have 3 valve stems. One of which is bad. I havent found a place to get the actual stems, so I am going with something I can find easily.:D

out of the set of 5 I have only one has the mil. valve stem in it.

I just finished drilling and installing the new stems in my 12-bolts about an hour ago.

I am using TR412s that I bought off ebay. No one local had them, so now I have 100 of them. I used a stepped drill bit I got from HF for $10 to drill the holes. I tried a few other ways but this was the best. The hole is 1/2" for the stems. Be careful centering the drill, the slot is a bit wider than 1/2".
As a insurance against leaks I put a thin bead of black silicone around each valve stem. Then I stuck the stem in the hole from the back and gave it a tug with a pair of pliers.

I will be assembling the wheels tomorrow after washing the magnesium dust off the run flats. There is a good bit on them from being cut down.

Post up how they hold air. I'd like to do this to mine.
