I have an H1 wheel that continues to leak air sloooowly. I have taken it apart and the O ring is good, not pinched or anything. Valve stem is tight and no bubbles from the core.

Anyone else run into this mystery? What did you do to fix it?

Not sure if slime is a good idea or not since it is a split rim. To slime or not to slime?

Other good fixes would be awesome. Thanks.

I had one leaking with a new o-ring so I slimed the o-ring up with that non-hardening pipe dope. I can't remember the sequence of events and whether that was the real solution or not. It's probably worth looking at the rim for nicks or burrs in the seal area. You might also spin the o-ring to keep the molding line out of the seal.

I had one leak from a bent bead - straightened it back up with a hammer. Use soapy water to find the source whether oring, bead, valve stem...

I don't know about the 39's PBR's, but I had to trim ~1/4" off the runflats to run my 44 PBR's..I don't figure you do since you already have 3 mounted that arent leaking...just a thought.

.

I greased the Ball'z out of mine... :haha:

They still leak.... Slooooooooooowly. :D

Oh, yea..... Most tires have a thicker bead than the Military OZ's they're designed for.
You need to trim a 1/4", like 90'K5 said....

I would've had to do this with my TSL's, but I just put my Mil-OZ's on... :D

I am running pvc inserts. I told them the tire size and they set them accordingly. I hope. :)

Tried the soap trick. No luck.

What do you think about sliming the Oring first? (Green slime)

Come to think of it I had a wheel with a oddly shaped Oring valley. It was thinner than the others but was symmetric all the way around so I figured some valleys were different on various lots. Crap now I have to open it up...again. To see if it is the odd one.

IMO, if you could t find the leak with soap it most likely is the oring. I would either buy a new oring or slime it up.

Beadlockers inherently leak a little air by design. How slow are we talking here.

I disagree, why would they be designed to allow a leak?

I don't see any signs of leaking. I air up/down every so months to wheel or get in the garage, but between that I never notice any loss.

Beadlock conversions put bolts in a pressurized area, but the 2 pieces of the H1s bolt together outside of where there is any air pressure. So the only added leak point is the O-ring.
