I was looking at the H2 swing away spare carriers. Looks like they pretty much mount on the bumper. Was wondering if anyone had slapped one (or tried to) on their Blazer?

I assume that the frame rails are wider on an H2 than a K5. The H2 should be the same as a Tahoe, or later model truck. Maybe some adapter plates could make it work. Can you get one for a decent price? Everything is priced high for those vehicles. You might be able to get something fabbed, or even a complete rear bumper for the same money.

Yeah, found one for $200. Seemed like a deal as far as H2 stuff was concerned, not sure how it fits price-wise with Blazer specific stuff...:dunno:

I would buy it now LOL. Even if I doesn't fit or work you could prob sell it and make money off of it

Just found this in another thread
I picked up an H2 tire carier for $120 on craigslist and mounted it to my bumper. I had to add some lenght to the left end since the spindle and pin lock thingy have to clear the tail gate. This gave me the perfect place to add jerrycans. It holds a 37 just fine.
The main bumper I got off a Ford van at the junk yard for $20. Its 3" tube and had diamond plate on top (I still wanted a step bumper) I did cut a few inches of the frame to tuck the bumber in as far as possibe to minmize departure angle. I added the side armor, reciever and D-rings. The thing people notice the most is the exhaust exit cutout. It really protects the tailpipe quite well. While at the muffler shop I had the guy bend the tube that is on each side. They're not perfect bends but fine and his time bending was free.
Not bad for a couple hundred bucks

I've thought about this as well but they are way overpriced. If I could find one for under $150.00 I would jump on it.
