H4 headlight retro- fit

A great resource for researching bulbs is https://www.bulbfacts.com/halogen-bulbs/chart/. They actually test all the bulbs and show that "upgrade" bulbs are only slightly brighter than standard, but with a lot shorter life. For example, the Racing Vision "+130%" is 24% brighter than standard, with less than 1/3 the lifespan, usually 3x the cost. Usually upgrading the wiring will give more improvement than a bulb upgrade. When you get into the higher power bulbs (i.e. not DOT) the wiring resistance is more of a problem and the bulbs can end up dimmer than stock - until you're able to really put the voltage to them.

Just think it through - these bulbs are basically all rated for the same power, so brightness will come down to efficiency and burning hotter (halogen vs halogen). If it really made 130% more light, a 55W bulb would be 126.5W and melt your socket and housing. I think they're referencing the peak brightness at a point on the filament (which must be smaller), but what a driver really cares about is the total light going down the road. So they mean "130%" or "+30%", but putting "+130%" on the package is just mathematically incorrect.

A word of advice on LEDs is to carry halogens as spares. The failure rates of retrofit bulbs is still pretty bad. You have some redundancy built in because they probably won't both fail at the same time, but you can get a ticket for a flickering one or a headlight out.

Video I found thought peps here might like to see. @Atl-atl Holley might be a better option than current led you have.
The didn't list them for my round eye K5, but they did for a same year jeep.
Same headlights, 7" round lol.
