I know a few of you guys have these in your tool crib.

I don't dare try to balance the NV4500/NP205 combo on my floor jack all by myself when I R&R my transmission. I'm going to get one of these Harbor Freight transmission jacks to help me do this swap. Which model should I go for: the 800lb or the 2,000lb?

The higher capacity model is $50 more, but it lifts higher and has a shorter overall height. However, I likely won't use this thing more than a couple times a year if that once this swap is done.

Which way would you go?

i have the cheaper and it works fine for my 4l80e and np208. i do wish that i had the bigger one though.

With that user name, I'd be disappointed if you had said you went with the bigger one.

Seriously now, thanks for posting up, I'd hoped to get input from both sides of that fence, I think i'm going for the big one.

Had the 2k lb one and installed my Titan205 setup with it (first pic below) My brother promply stole it from me (haha, he needed it in CO and I owed him some $, so he just kept it and called it good).

I then went and picked up the 800 lb one so I could drop the NV4500/205 out if my crew cab (second pic below), and it did just fine. Honestly both are very good...just get the one that fits the wallet...both are great

I did my 4l60e 10+ times with the 450lb scissor lift one... I might have bent it once or twice doing it with the np241 attached.

Glad I came across this thread. I checked out the harbor freight in North MS yesterday and looked at the transmission jacks, along with a few other things but only walked out with extra jack stands.

I need to pull the th350/np203 out of mine and pretty sure I'm not able to muscle one out like when I was in my 20's. Looks like I'm going back to make a purchase.
