Hard downshift....any idea why?

My Z-71, with 33s and 3.73s, constantly hunts out of D and OD around town, I keep it in 3rd till 45, then upshift. Keeps my tranny cooler as the converter isnt doing as much work. No need for OD below 45, your not revved out anyways.

All 700R4's will downshift harder when not running in OD. If it just started shifting harder than normal while in "D" then there's probably something more to it that will need to be looked at.
