Washed my car at my Mom's place today. Forgot that she has hard water there and now I've got some hard water stains on the car. Does hard water mess up the paint? Will will it be ok for another few weeks until the next wash? Or should I get them off ASAP?

Car is an 05 honda civic with factory paint in a great condition. Thanks!

get them off asap. the longer they are on their the worse they are to get off. may have to have it buffed out depending on how bad it is.

clay bar will do the trick. Just keep a good coat of wax on the paint and the water spots wont be a big deal after words. Water spots are not going to hurt anything just be a pain in the neck the longer they sit.

clay bar will help, but make up a solution of baking soda and water, keep it pretty thick, and get it onto as much of the car as you can... the baking soda will neutralize the acid and get it off of the paint...
