Has anyone ever put 33s on 20s on their truck?

he has taken the name that Jessie James has on his racing suit

Whats wrong with that?!?!

This post started to look like a pirate post, come on guys.

We had a K5 at work with 35" toyos with 18 or 20s, dont remember. It looks OK, I think bigger rims look better on bigger tires, 33's might be a little small for a 20". I like 17 or 18 MAX on tires 40" and smaller. But hey its your rig, dont let these guys give you crap, and dont take it personal.

might look smoething liek this.

You get the ide.

You more or less just helped us make our point...

Truck 1...poser
Truck 2...poser
Truck 3...poser

And that is cool if that is what you're into, but the great majority here aren't into that.

1. For one I'm not going to give you a bunch of crap for what you want. But...you are looking for the strait up lowered truck street look. The "street look" on a 4x4 is a little different than what you are after. ;) Choose what ever tire and wheel combo you like, this is America and you have the privelige of freedom of choice, use that privelige!

2. If you are looking for opinions on how it would look....I've seen two K5's with 20's or what ever they were....I just shook my head and asked the lord to forgive those poor souls. :wink1: Just joking, revert to #1. ;)

3. Most importantly, keep it civilized. I would think we are all grown up. Any crap to plug up the thread is not needed. ;)

Maybe I shouldn't have jumped on that, and the answer to your question is that there is nothing in particular wrong with the name.

It just seems to me that there is a pattern - the "cool" name of Jesse James, a "street truck" look, a need to be percieved as "cool", what appears to be a bad attitude

Most of the people here are "built not bought" (read: original thinkers) types and are honest with themselves and others. That is what I like about the site. Most also have some level of respect for others opinions. This person seems to have neither. The name, taken from the Discovery Channel's best "outlaw" seems to follow the pattern to me. I've been wrong before...

I think lifted NBS chevy's look pretty Good with up to 18's or 20's with at least 35" tires, but there was a sweet late 80's 3+3 on E-BAY a while back that was lifted about 6" very clean paint and had 18's with 35" BFG muds. Just not a good look on this body style. Made the whole truck look strange, IMO.

I also don't think our trucks body style would look good with the huge hot-wheel rims. I will admit a new Dodge with 20" rims would look okay, but I'm still not a fan of the bling bling crap on a 4X4.

i got one that you guys might get a kick out of..i'll have to get some pics. but we had a family of about 15 hispanics move in right next door. and one of them drive what appears to be a white late 90s suburban and its a 4wheel drive..thats not the funny part. the funny part is its sitting on what looks to be about 13 inch (definatly smaller than my 15s) gold spoke rims with itty bitty white walls stretched over it, chrome mud flaps mounted at an angle so that they stick way out, and not one or two, but FIVE gold plated cell phone attennas on top of it....its a 4X4!
i don't know whats funniner the way this thing looks, or watching my skin head neighbor across the street standing in his front yard with beer in hand just shaking his head, and laughing his butt off when they high centered this 4x4 burban on thier own drive way!

oh and on a side note, they have been here 4 days now, and i am soooooo tired of mariachie (sp?) music.

Ive seen something similar, tho it was a multi colored green pickup, with the reverse wheels sticking way out, running boards, the visor over the windshield, and 4, 1 inch exhaust tips coming out the back. :haha:

I saw a black k5 last summer with 24" wheels..for some reason..I thought it looked cool. I wish I could have gotten some pics.
But...I'm into the show truck scene too..

I'm not gonna knock this guy for askin about 20's that's for sure..
maybe this site may NOT be suited for "Personalizing" a k5..
but...I think "Bling-Bling" on a k5 is cool...I'm sure I'm not the only one. :p:

I really like the look because it gives it a 'street truck' type look but still has the offroad look and that's what I'm going for.

run whatever tires/wheels you want... you're kidding yourself if you think any 20/33 combo is going to have "the offroad look" tho. You need atleast 39" of rubber for dubz to look like they belong offroad.
