Has Anyone Put A Seat Like This In Their K5?

those big side bolsters are kind of a pain if your to low or to high as your a$$ needs to slide over it to much for my tastes.

I have a set of Recaro copies from an SVO Mustang in my '75 that are a similar design. They're comfy, but like sweetk30 said, getting up and over those side bolsters is (literally!) a pain in the @$$ on a lifted truck.

Save your money, I have a set of those POS seats. Too hard, too narrow,no suspension. My 6'4" frame is too big for the likes of them, after a half hour I can hardly walk. When the time comes I'll upgrade to something decent, like a baja ss or mastercraft.

Nah. Already checked the specs. My current seat height is around 15" and this one is 12.5" in the middle of its range. I'll actually probably have to put a riser on it to keep it where I want it! :waytogo:

Besides... if it rises too much, I'll just put a limiting strap on it. No biggie.

Thanks For The Opinions Ya'll!
Can You Use The Same Base And Put The Seat On That Frame? What Do I Use For Mounting? I Remember There Was A Thread With Some Brackets On It To Mount Seats, But I Can't Find It.
Just So You Know, The Reason I Like Those Seats Is For The Looks. This Will Be A Strictly Show Truck And Will Not Be Driven. I Have A 72 Blazer To Have Fun With!

Hey can you post a link where you got those from, who sells the smitty builts? Those looks like nice seats, I want those seats to replace the beanch in my crew cab. I like that split bench. How much modifications did you have to do to get them to fit?

I love my seats, they are from a nissan 240sx Just enough side bolstering to help hold me in with no doors and are comfortable as well. $100 from the junk yard delivered to me. If you go to a pullapart you could get them much cheaper.

thats a real nice setup, on the cheap too. My buddy actually has a set of seats from his acura, there pretty nice seats too. But I want a split beach, so that way when Im out in the desert riding and I want to sleep or my girl wants to sit next to me I just lift up the center console. :D I tried selling those acura seats pretty cheap on here a while ago, there in great shape, but nobody wanted them. :dunno:

those little side thingies are a pain to get over on a tall truck... but once your butt is actually in the seat they are very nice in a 4x4. Combined with a harness they keep you planted in that seat. No sliding around at all. I like that about my Corbeau Baja SS seats...

Beautiful truck by the way, love the cage work looks real solid. Someday when my rig gets a cage I hope it comes out as nice as that.
