has anyone seen this cummins crossmember/mount?

What's this "normal" you speak of? What what means "life"? :haha:

Drinking beer, visiting friends, working on my rig, sleeping in a real bed, spending time with the GF,Drinking beer, eating food not cooked in a microwave, showering everyday,Drinking beer, you know normal stuff :doah:

Yes. The cross member is very nice. I run one in my converted 1991 sub. Seems to stiffen the frame, which is a good thing in a cummins swap. Also Ken @Autoworld is a great reference point for the swap.

I dont figure my time as worth anything when I'm fabbin stuff up. If I was inside watching TV for that amount of time it would have been even more useless. so acomplishing ANYTHING is worth my time:D Cause I'll be the first to say that TV wins most of the time with me. But when I get started on something I'm fabbing. I'll go till its done with any time not spent at work or sleeping:thumb: Thats what I'm in this hobby for:rolleyes:

The cummins swap is looking even more interesting now:thinking:

Thats exactly how I feel.

Plus Im ****ed up. I get a sense of accomplishment going things myself and for some reason I like huffing that carborundum and burning the **** out of myself.

Wait until your working 50-60+ hrs a week with your own house and Kids and other Hobbies you may change how you feel about stuff like that .

I can Weld and Fabricate . and If I'm making something that no one else does then I would get a sense of accomplishment but just copying someone else's design is lame I wouldn't gain much satisfaction in that.

Things Like Bumpers and Sliders ect are cool projects cuz you get to build with your own tastes . this crossmember there is really only one way to build it if you change the design the engine wont fit.

Stomis, See that's great, because you can afford to give the time needed to do things like that.

I've slept in my own bed at home 5 nights since Sept 15th. I won't be home again yet until Oct 29. After that there will only be 10 days that I'll actually be at home before Christmas. I sure as **** won't be wasting time fabricating something that some one else has engineered and built that I can by off the shelf. I've already bought and own destroked motormounts for putting my cummins into big ugly. I don't even have the time to do it myself.

The burning the chit out of my self is why I like metal fabbin:thumb: I think I may have issues:thinking::whistle:

I was working 60 hour weeks when I built my quad trailer, at my house, while my kid was doing his own thing (he was 14 at the time though). I slept great that week:waytogo: I ended up giving up my other hobbies. Only enough time and money for this one.:D Your right about It being way better if its one off. But if I can make it for next to nothing or Half of the 650+,,, that leaves more money for the stuff I cant build. Some people have more going on in their lives than others though. Me,,, I got nothing:doah: so its easier for me to justify

At this point in my life I have more time than money...

I know that's what I said initially being a major point. I said everyone is at a different point on that scale. It would be NFG if everyone was the same.

This cross meber is ****, I would not suggest anyone to buy it, either they gave me the wrong one or the quality control is ****ed, I installed it and its way further ahead the. It should be and the starter does not even clear the cross member, not a happy guy.
