Has anyone welded a Gov-Loc?

I have a OPEN and a GOV-LOC 14ff carrier in my possesion.Just wanted to know if anyone has succesfully welded a GOV-LOC and have it hold up? I'm running 44's and around 325hp. If not, I think there is a mini spool for a 14ff if I'm not mistaken,available through Reider Racing.Might go that route.Thanks in advance..

Yepp, welded my gov-lok and it has held fine so far. I have no strength worries with it. I had a post a while back, maybe I can find it again.

Cool thanks..Did you weld it to the carrier itself also?

Nope, just as you see it in the pic. Just be sure to weld it carefully. If anything moves just a little bit it will be hard to get back into the carrier.
