Hauling w/ Deckover Trailer

I've got an 06 load trail 26' that is heavy af. Very useful trailer and pulls excellent. Well built product that seems to be just fine overloaded.
The two things I don't like about this is the weight as it, and then no dovetail. Otherwise its been great.

I'm going to go with a deck over so I can justify my shop making the purchase to haul "stuff" lol. This way it's used for "work" or BB18...

Just have the $$$ going into the K5 right now. Have to stay around 25 ft because of yard space

@swettysblazer are there any other comparable brands to the PJ trailers?

Loadtrail makes their trailers in a 102" width with drive over fenders and is a very good quality trailer. I had one and sold it and wish I hadn't.

Big-Tex also makes trailers that are 102" wide

or go custom and have one made like I did: http://www.texas4x4.org/general-chit-chat-28/new-trailer-30332/

Look under it at the welds. Is it painted underneath? Are the wires just hanging? Find out what gauge the steel is. It is big enough and the GVW is ample. Just don't know anything about this brand. Brakes on both axles.

We'll have to take turns driving each K5. lol

Whatever you get make sure it has a channel frame and not just angle like my light duty 16x7 trailer I have. Also be sure it has brakes on both axles and I always prefer the greaseable spindles. Dovetails are nice but if you go off road a lot with it or it sits real low the back end will drag everywhere. I have wanted a 22' deckover in at least a 14,000lb rating for a while. Now that I own farm equipment I might have to step it up to a gooseneck.
