Have Fuel Cell...now how do I install it?**DONE THANKS GUYS**

Do like Dave said, just get a piece of fuel line and a small breather filter. Route it up with the other lines towards the fuel cell inside and call it good

Sure did...on our Tellico trip. I had no problems other then when it got really steep and the piece o edelcrap was flooding on me. Drove several miles down the trail and a few more back to camp with no problems. I did notice it building pressure inside the fuel cell though. Like when you turn the cap and air comes rushing out

Bryan, forgot to tell you I found out how to get the pressure out of the tank. On the cap in the middle there is a plastic fitting with a phillips screw in it. I loosened it up a little and it allows all the vapors to escape. Has not built pressure since :D

wow... you use those d-rings like that? not sure 1/8" steel is thick enough for that kind of abuse...

just finished fuel cell in my 87 3/4 ton
i did mine like this
i used the blue push on hose from summit with the barbed fittings.
out of the sump i ran an elbow then short hose fuel filter then pump
that got me into the frame rail. elbow then hose all the way to engine bay
hooked to braided supply on my carb at end of carb supply a BG regulator (not a crappy pancake style) then 1/2 return out of other side of regulator back to the framerail and back through bed to return port on top of my cell
hope this helps email if you want

my stock tank has atleast 4 hoses going to it... one filler hose, one that follows the filler hose up to the gas cap (I assume this lets air out of the tank while you fill 'er up) and two that follow the frame rail forward to the engine. I'd think one of these carries fuel to the pump.... the other one...? maybe to the charcoal canister? I have a summit 20g cell coming in the mail... it has two -8AN outlets in the sump and 2 more -8AN outlets on top of the cell. Would one of the top ones work to go to the charcoal canister?

also, does it matter how a cell is oriented? I was thinking of angling mine along the rear-most tube that makes up the roll cage (maybe a 30-40 degree angle). This would make the sump much more likely to always have fuel... but would it cause any problems?

Why hook up the charcoal canaster...with a cell it won't pass inspection anyway right?

If you tilt the tank you will not be able to get it full...the top area above the fill will always have air in it...but that might not matter to you.

Mine passed the Etest with a fuel cell, I put tarps and some other things in the bed so they wouldn`t see it.
