Have to ask

here Is what my friend sold me he says theyve never been used and there a trapozid pattern.

They are not wired up, but I mounted em to see how they would look.

In my county, all offroad lights have to have covers on them, or ticket. I found out when my buddy got pulled over and the officer said: "this sounds kinda chicken ****, but your off road lights are not covered." glad i was passenger
that does sound like a bunch of bs, I'll have to check into washington and idaho law on that. if theyre required, i think im screwed, i think i threw the covers away.:o no one really cares anyway around here.

I'm going to hook my lights up tomorrow.... not sure how I'm going to power them. I had thought to just run switch inside and power them off the battery with an inline fuse, but I am not sure yet. I'd like to avoid a rats nest of wiring...
 
for legal issuses, i spliced in a cancel switch in the dash so i can tell any copper that theyre for "off-road only"

To truely be legal you need to put covers on them. You can get a ticket for just having them uncovered on the road if the cop wants to be a prick.

it will work without relays... for a while. then your switch will stop working because the internals got overloaded too many times. i've killed countless switches that way. really sucks when your fuel switch wont work and you can't figure out why... :doah:

yup I already replace my switch for the reverse lights once before thats why I am rrewiring them with a relay.

Dont you have any other auto stores? I`ve seen them at Wal mart once in a while too.

ok, here goes:
The lights went up since I bought them to $26.29 part no. 735-5755
The relay by itself was $5.99 part no. 735-5760
The wiring kit (includes switch) cost $6.99 part no. 735-5758
extra wire to do some of my own work: $4-5 i dont really keep track of that, just keep plenty in my toolbox. the switch that came with the wiring kit was kinda ghey, so i bought a black rocker switch from radioshack for $2. i got wiring plans off the internet, the best i found are if you search for "lightforce" someone put them on his 'yota and put a technical article up. a long morning did the job (got rained on and have no shop.
oh yeah, napa part no.s that have the 735 prefix are all special order parts
