So, since I don't have any attachment on my K currently for an air intake, does it make sense to throw something like this on so you could swap in a snorkel if you need it?

I'll never need a snorkel, but the higher intake is intriguing to me.

I found my '74's idle performance improved just getting cold(er) air from the grille instead of inside the engine compartment. Presumably y'all with newer trucks already have the ductwork to get "cold" air to the cleaner, but if not, this might do well in that regard.

I also note that in order to use this new snorklette your beadlocks must be painted to match the truck, accessorizing your Jeep dontchaknow.
