Advice = drive hours out of your way to stop and have lunch with the gulf coast crew. :dunno: :D

I'm closer to the coast. But if I was headed to Moab to ride. Lunch maybe on the way back maybe if time permitted.

My advise have a blast!!!!!!!!!!

When in Feb. are you going? Sounds kinda fun:thinking:

we leave on feb 14, should be in Moab wheeling all week then leave on friday the 20th to head back home... going with a friend who just got back from Iraq... we built his rig Overhaulin style while he was gone... It should be a great time.

Schedule surgery to have the stupid grin removed from your face after...

Brings the regular stuff, tools and parts. Awesome wheeling, but that slickrock is pretty unforgiving! Nothing breaks your junk like Moab.

And through a series of even more fortunate events I'll will be in the passanger seat saying "yeah, we got that no problem" except when large cliffs are involved and then I'll be in front of the rig waving him forward saying "yeah, you got that no problem"

On a more serious note...

February. That's like, winter :D. As in cold, snow, ice, etc.

You're gonna be between 4000 and 6000ft of elevation. Even if it's nice and warm during the day, temps can drop very quickly. Keep in mind that on some of the trails, you'll be quite a ways from town. Prepare accordingly; if something breaks, it could be a while before you get back.

Some trails (Gold Bar Rim/Golden Spike, Metal Masher, Steel Bender, exit from Pritchett Canyon) have you drive shelf roads to get there and/or back; no problem when dry, but can turn to slimy snakesnot when wet, and I don't want to know how they are when there's snow or ice.

Yep... the average is 11 deg at night in feb... I will take alot of cold weather gear ect. hopefully the trip out is uneventful.

I was curious about the weather too. I hope you get some pictures. I've never been there and I LOVED he bb08 pictures.
