header hitting bump stop bracket

Did you get any more of the exhaust routed?
Curious as to how you will deal with either a Y pipe or getting the exhaust past the passenger side at the transfer case.
Well, I just grabbed a piece of 2 1/2 tubing from the local mom/pop auto parts store, about 18" long, and it JUST sneaks right in between the area around the tcase. Fits right inbetween the lower shackle, and the support going from tcase to transmission mount bolt. Looks good to me!

Is that some kind of locking trans dipstick? Mine always works it's way out about 1" and it's time to replace it anyhow because the ring broke off.

Your dipstick pops out cause you have to much crankcase pressure.
do you have a functioning pcv?

And if you buy dipsticks for eng and trans fo a van they will come all the way upto your rad suppourt, you can get an oil filler neck for a van too and never have to use a step to check or fill er up again:D

I didnt know trannies had pcv valves:surepal: Do tell...

Hey Ben, is that a Lokar dipstick or other brand??
I assume you mean the engine dipstick? I think it was either a Mr Gasket, or a Spectre. :wink1:

:doah:So much for being a smarta$$:haha: The pics wouldnt load in the quote, and I was going off his words which said trans dipstick. Does that stick just lock or does it have pretty good sealing provisions?

If your still looking for pipe, go to lowes. They have fence post for $20 for 8ft, The size is like 2 and 7/16?

I used it on my K20,and reused it on my K5.

I'm liking how clean everything is...I wish I had that kind of patience... :)

One more off the wall question here.....

How long are the bolts that come with the Hedmans? I am going to get the Stage 8's, but don't know if I should get the 1" or the 1.25" length.

Whatever they were, I used them, and haven't had any loosen up yet. Been 4+ years. Thick flanges are a good thing.
