Most of the header companies sell the brackets to work with their products too.

What seems to be the problem? I had manifolds and do have A/C with headers now and the stock bracket. The stock bracket bolts to both bolts on #1 cylinder but the "U" on the bracket wont clear the header tube(which I bet is your prob) I just torched off the back half of the "U" So only one bolt is needed to hold it in place...reused the manifold stud instead of a header bolt and bolted the bracket to the stud.

You wouldn't happen to have a pic of the modified bracket installed do you? I am getting ready to put headers on with the same A/C bracket and would like to see what you did.

There is nothing to it. I figured it out before I even bought the headers when I was staring at the bracket visualizing it. Just hack off the back half of the bracket that bolts to the second manifold stud back.

Dunno if this will help or not, but the 4.3L trucks used a "header" on the drivers side, which has the spacer needed for AC welded to it. The one I found the weld was already broken, but it could be easily knocked off if it wasn't. Amazingly it was exactly the right length.
I needed that spacer for my PS pump, but IIRC, AC uses the same thing, except the U that goes over the tube. I'd think any S-10 or Astro with 4.3 and AC would have what you need.

Well thanks everyone, but I just found out some bad news today... Had a friend over to try to find out what the noise that started up yesterday on the way home from class. It turned out to be the #8 header tube popped it's weld to the mounting plate. That means I need a set of headers or stock exhaust manifolds.... Well there goes more money I don't have.....
