Go nuts because of the boose? or the cold?

Here we are a month later. Any updates on this build?

I just spent a hour reading all 43 pages of this thread and must say I'm amazed at the work and your willingness to take this on. I'm subscribin' to this thread and will follow it along with everyone else.

Awesome job so far, CH and for those of you who have pitched in with physical help, commentary, ideas and solutions to some of the issues he's run into, my hat is off to you all!!!

This is great reading!!!

Expirimenting with 3/4Blazer's drawing a few posts back I came up with this today. The rear springs seemed like they had a lot more flex in them so why not?

I will weld a 3/4" X 10" Bolt to the top shackle which will pivot inside bushings in the tubes. The x-member will go between the framerails. The piece of tube closest to the shackle will be welded to the top of the frame rail. To get the angle correct I am going to move the forward rear hanger rearward and up the framerail about 6". All together this should widen my wheelbase and drop the bastard a few inches.

It's tough when you've got a long, complicated project in front of you. Sometimes, the focus and desire start to fade. I've been there when doing a total rebuild of my NovaSS.

What helped me through it was the support, positive comments and help given me by friends, family and several total strangers who followed the build in another forum.

You keep at it, brother. You will complete the build and will feel that great sense of accomplishment when you do.

When you get it done, drive it like ya stole it!!! :D

Helmets for sure, CH!

Man, I envy you that first ride. It feels so good after slaving and bleeding over a project.

Keep it up, bro! I wanna see this thing roll under its own power! Ya gotta get a vid of that!!!
