Heaph's Build Thread - Built not Bought

Looks good man. I was tempted when i had the body off but i didnt go that crazy. Good to see you're making progress. Now get those axles set up, i wanna see this thing rolling.

All my local buds t hought I was nuts when I had my truck down to a bare frame and was considering popping the rivets out of the crossmembers and taking it down to 2 frame rails. Glad to see someone bucked up and did it. Makes me look half sane =)

I think I want to tune in on this build... Especially since you're local ;)

Since Chief is back online now, how about getting back to the regularly schedule programming and watching this build up happen?

Workin Hard

Did 13 of those hours that look like you didnt even do anything today. Im about to turn the corner. I cant wait till I get this thing rolling.

(On a side note...if anyone knows of mechanical clutch linkage such as z-bar, or frame pivot bracket I would be interested in purchasing.)

Thanks for Tuning in...

Maybe, just maybe. Let me make a few calls....

Dude, go hydro! It's so easy. Theres a whole set up in a local yard, could probably pick up for less than $100. Hydro bell, master/slave set up, and pedals. Let me know.

ALrtight you convinced me! HAs it been at the yard for awhile? I probably couldnt get out to pull it until next Sat. or on memorial day if they are even open.

Now the Fun Begins!

Took the day off to get get some truck stuff done. Would have been nice if it didnt rain, but how could I be mad when I now have this to work off.

Hope to have it rollin by next weekend, then I'll box it when it's about eye level!!! Yikes.

Wow! Its almost tempting to junk the 60/70 and get 2.5 ton Rockwells instead!!!

Keep it up! Can't wait for the next pics.

I got 1410 yokes. There suppose to run at 60 degrees. Some high angle d shafts plus a pretty extreme pinion angle maybe like 30deg.

As far as 2.5tons...My company is installing groundwater monitoring wells at the old Fort Devens right inside there motor pool. Im surrounded by rockwells all day. I wonder??
