Heaph's Build Thread - Built not Bought

Sorry to hear that.

I've got a pilot bearing puller if you're having trouble getting that out. Lemme know if u need any help.

if you need a hand, i might be around, let me know a week or two in advance so i can get the time off.

Tom

Threw in the tranny the other day. Gonna wait on the t-case seeing as though I may go m-37 (np-200) or scs dropbox instead of 205.

Ordered 49X21X20 IROKS and custom 20X14 Rockwell rims today. Anxious to get the body on and see how ridiculous this thing is gonna be.

What made you think of using an m-37 t-case. I've never heard of anyone installing one into something other than an m-37 :p:

Just wondering cause I've got one sitting under a tarp thats leftover from my brother's m-37 buildup

I havent researched it a whole lot...Ive heard they clock down a little more than the two oh five but could possibly run full time 4, or be divorced (which would mean switchin to a 2wd tranny. ...Building a truck is awesome!!!!!!!!!

And I'm guessing they won't bolt right up, a special adaptor will be necessary?

If it is divorced then I would have two switch to a 2wd tranny and basically use a short stubby driveshaft between the tranny and t-case. Hopes are that this could drop and center it. Essentially making bothe driveshafts interchangeable and at the same time lessening the pinion angles. Cuple beers neo beers!? Short wheelbase anyway. I passed calculus but that wont help here.

Looks good. Where did you get the stock for that? I'm looking to make a cross member when i clock my t-case.

place in Manchester NH. Wanna say Crystal Steal Corp. Orders over $200 or maybe $300 they deliver free.

My m37 has an np200, just thought you might want more info. It's divorced with both outputs offset to the passenger side, but there is a band brake on the center rear output. Being divorced, you could clock it any way you want to. It's also a part-time case. I can't wait to see this thing back together. Very impressive.

excellent build bro. this is similar to my next build. its gonna be a 88 crew cab, rocks, duramax and 54" boggers and an insane amount of lift as well. I am definitly staying tuned in to this build.

thanks guys

I called profab and scs and it seems like "drop boxes" are all divorced. I'm gonna find a 2wd SM465 this weekend. Hate backtracking, but its got to be done. Maybe I can pick up an inexpensive np200 to.
