Heaph's Build Thread - Built not Bought

There were a few in Worcester at Sams Pull-a-Part. Transmissions are $100 no matter what it is. 30 day exchange warranty for an extra $25. Might be worth checking out.

so were you able to get a price on the drop box. Somewhere On the net yesterday I came across a truck with a drop box, he said it cost 3k!!!

Profab wants $1850 for thiers, divorced and full-time 4wd. Hopefully I can score a m-37/np200 for a lot less.

I think that M-715s also have the NP200. My dad owns one, but unfortunatly its stored about an hour from our house, so I cant really check for you.

I've never heard of a Dana 200. The NP200 should work well for your project. Go to the forum on chuckstrucks.net. There are plenty of those cases on there. While much less than a SCS or Pro Fab case, they still cost around $500. The only negative I have heard on the NP200s is that they generate a good amount of heat at speed.

Looks like you're making good progress. Keep us updated with plenty of pics! You know we all like pics! :D I finally got mine out of the driveway yesterday. It was a glorious day for all, lol. Especially for the neighbors since I cleaned up the mess I've had laying around for over 2 months. :haha:

Identification NP200?

Found this for sale. I'm pretty sure it is an NP200, but the guy cant find any tags. It's from a 53' Powerwagon. Whaddayathink?

Yea, lookin at your 1st pic and my 2nd pic, they both have the same looking rounded nut thingy. And I have another pic that I didnt post where you can see the drain plug area looks the same

Is that like a pinion brake on the top loading axles or is that how they did the parking brakes back then?

That is the parking brake. You should see what the t-case on my dad's 1942 White Scout Car ( basically an armored car) looks like. It has a brake rotor mounted on the rear. A lot like what high angle driveline sells.

Yeah thats what I was going to say...it looks like the kit HAD sells...

awesome build man i wish i could get away with a truck that size where i live.
P.S. i consider my job a fairly good one with decent pay but where do some of you guys get the money to do some of these builds, cause wherever it is i would like an application.

This thing is gonna be so illegal I'll probably get arrested just looking at it.

I have a great job, but have a severe credit card debt to pay off. Luckily I dont have anyone to support other than myself and the truck.

Thanks though man!
