I formed a small piece of plumbers strap that goes over the curve and is held by the screw. Not ideal, but it has been holding for a few years. I took one look at that part and assumed there is no way I will find a new one...now I know if mine breaks I have options

My fix was similar. I had a piece of stainless strap from an old coffee pot. I wrapped the broken plastic piece all the way around with that, glued it all together like that and attached it to the door again with the same screw. That's been several years and heat and A/C both work great.
