Heh..anyone ever install a "Dead Pedal" in their K5

my firewall is close enough that i rest my foot there.but im tall and some people dont have that luxury.my worktruck has one that i use.makes long trips more comfy.

Yea, im not tall and have tons of leg room. Im seriously considering it. Just a couple screws and its done, lol

I like the idea, and almost did this. The thing is, i have one in my bmw, and i RARELY use it....but my bimmer is a stick, so my foot is normally nearer to the clutch.

I have one in my 350Z and use it all the time...mine is very close to the clutch pedal

I remove everything dead in my truck.
Not going to waste time to put somthing dead in there.
But for resting my foot, I usually rest in on the dash or under my butt.
I do a lot of one foot driving even in my big rig with 10 speed.

That is an impressive gadget. It even works with both automatic and stick shift!!!

You need a live pedal instead of a dead one.
Friend of mine kinda inherited a Winnebago motor home. Dodge 440 with auto.

We climbed in to try it out, when he noticed something strange.
Under the dash, was a gas pedal, brake pedal, and a...........something.

It was on the left side, hanging down like a brake pedal but with a crossbar instead of a regular pedal.

He asked me what the heck that was. I said press it. (Getting ready to jump out the door in case it ate him)

We finally got under and looked.
Its just a spring loaded pedal. Doesn't do anything.

I assume that Winne drivers just drive down the road pumping their left leg up and down for exercise.

If so, you should be able to tell those drivers at the beach. Its got a heck of a spring on it.
