Can a pair of 7" round Hella lights be mounted on there sides? Instead of mounting them right to the front bumper I have a grill guard that holds my winch. Can I mount these lights sideways on the frame of the grill guard? Would this mess up how the light functions?

it shouldnt be a problem, upside down or right side up they all bolt the same way on too the truck somehow right? as for function the housing on those lamps arnt cheap by any means im sure the wiring isnt compromised and the bulb will stay in place. what model is it theirs like a hundred different hella lamps?

You may need to set them so that the Top indicator is on the drivers side, this should make sure the beam doesn't blind oncoming drivers. There really isn't a way that I have seen to mount them sideways and ensure the beam pattern doesn't blind others. Generally they are designed so the top actually reduces the amount of light going up, so by mounting with top to the drivers side it should reduce the amount of light going to the driver's side.
