Help chosing a floor shifter

The Star shifter comes with switches and a sled that mounts to the indicator track. They were not accurate enough for me to use. The one for reverse only closed in Neutral despite trying the full range of adjustment. The starter lockout was similarly bad. It closed in gears but. It N or P.

It's pretty loud banging through the gates, IMO. Durable AF, absolute certainty you are in the gear you chose. Just loud.

Well I was driving down slide and hit a dip and the blasted thing jumped into neutral
Wasn’t a hard dip but at 45 I don’t think it’s a good idea to jump into neutral.
So I ordered a B&M starshifter and installed iOS today. And I’ll probably swap to the hurst but it will be a few weeks to get it.

I put nut certs in the floor, and zip tied the column thing to the brake booster

So what do you think of the Starshifter in person? I know there were some negative opinions on it and other B&M products in this thread...but I'm curious if you feel the same or not? Do you plan on replacing this with the Hurst and selling the Starshifter later then?

I don't see a problem with it, it works like it supposed to. It was descent to put in, I remember my mega shifter in my camaro was a pain to adjust this thing was easy in comparison. Ya ill probably sell the star shifter when i swap the Hurst in it.

well i got the neutral safety switch and reverse lights working in the Starshifter.
There is no info on how to adjust them even the Holley tech line didn't know shit.
That was a pain in the ass. the neutral switch has to be adjusted down and
the reverse light switch have to hold your balls and your mouth just right to make it work
HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!:poop::poop::poop::angry1::angry1::angry1::weapon22::weapon3::weapon31:

Well, I guess I'm not going to learn how to hook up a reverse light in my Art Carr shifter now. Never really cared until people started yelling at me on the trail when I started backing up. I told them they shouldn't be following me so close, but I guess they do have a point...
Nonetheless, enjoy your B&M! I hate wiring anything in the column anyway, there's never any room to work.

jeep crowd? I can’t tell you the last time I wheeled with someone with reverse lights :rotfl:

Why yes, it did happen to be someone in a $40k jeep who was the first one to voice the complaint. You obviously know your trail personalities. In a way, I do have reverse lights, I just have to remember to turn them on and off, which is way too much thought....I've already got to turn and look out the back window!
