i have a 74 k20 with a 350/350/205 jet rochester carb/accel dist. a month ago it started to dieseling on me when i turned it off. so i checked the timing it it was at 17 degrees so i knocked it down to 8 but once it went into gear it would die. now it will only run between 15-17 degrees? let say i start it up and turn it off and try to start it again all it does is crank and crank. so i check for spark and there is none. so i hit distributor and it will fire right up. after this i changed rotor, cap and the coil and still having these problems:confused:

Sounds like your advance weights are hanging up...

Another quality offering from Accel apparently.. Do yourself a favor and ditch that cr*p.. Another company like Champion, living off their name..

If you wanna go aftermarket, get yourself a MSD billet...
