Help I need driveshaft school....

Ok so some more research. GM flange wont work w/o machine work. The super duty has a 2in pilot and the GM has a 3.1x something pilot. It would be a simple turn in the lathe but Im fairly sure the GM flange pilot isnt solid so it would have to be cut off an over sized blank welded on and then machined true to size for the ford flange. Or you can get a flange from dennys for like $80.

Am I wrong for not running a CV up front?
Nope

03 up dodge 2500 and up use a 1350ish cv that will bolt to the gm flange. only the cv end is 1350 (1355) though.

But 4500s are normal allegedly.
Driveshafts specialist in San Antonio has built a few for me

Does an excursion driveshaft fall under the superduty driveshaft category? Found an excursion driveshaft 30mins from me for $45.

Fronts are. Rears can be 1350 cv with 1410 at the axle.

Don't forget there are two types of 1350 cv. Get the one that is rounded around the ujoint ears.

Ah dang I didnt know there was two types... Less angle on the square type? Can it be ground for clearance or is the square type just no good at all?
