Guy advertised this as a 60. I'm thinking no....am I right?

Ask the guy why he thinks its a D60.

I love hearing the answers from clueless sellers. :D

A really easy way to identify a Dana 60, besides the kingpins instead of balljoints, is that the passengers side spring perch uses only one U-bolt. Instead of a u-bolt, a Dana 60 uses two bolts that thread into the pumpkin on the inside of the passenger spring perch.

Dana 60's also have 60F cast into the pumpkin webbing.

You have to be a little careful with that mindset because Dodge D44's also use two studs on the passenger side spring perch just like Chevy D60's.

Quoted for truth.

Needs to look at the knuckles and see if there are kingpins or ball joints to identify a GM version of the D60.

Yeah, I was just discussing Chevrolet axles. I have no idea how a Hi-Pinion Dana 60 Ford does it, and the pumpkin would be on the driver's side. I guess I should have clarified my statement.

Yeah, I saw that it appeared to be a ball joint axle. I am starting to get the hang of id'ing these things.
It was a Craigslist ad and the guy was actually cool and appreciative that I let him know it was not a 60.
