help me decide my next truck

dude m1008 or m1028 all the way...those prices are definitely top top dollar I think. But like somebody mentioned, they are gone through meticulously and basically restored to original. No fun in that I say. Heck I got my m1008 for a grand, it had a bad starter and flywheel...big whoop. I would say no go for the dodge. Those trucks were beat on by everyone who had them and now are being dumped for a reason. When they break, it cost a pretty penny to fix them. Like $750+ for an injector pump, not to mention everything else. I definitely would not want a money pit.

what about the one I posted in the link? its only got 71,000 miles. It couldnt have been beat on that long. I emailed the owner yesterday and asked a few more questions. Hes also going to take some more pics and send them to me. He's had it for 4 years and never towed with it. Brakes were done last year. and new tires were put on recently

Man this is a tough desicion. If I got the cummins dodge, the money I save over a M1028 I could put towards a trailer. But the m1028 is sooo sweet.

I would do the cummin's . I drive one on occasion and it is a good truck . You could pull a house with the damn thing . I am waiting on the truck to get so rusted because then I get the 1 ton's :) And the cummin's keep's living in an old powerwagon. They are good truck's I would just reccomend getting one with a stick . If it is auto ready to drop a pretty penny , on a trans rebuild at a few time's in it's life.

Id say it is if the body is decent. I just got some e-mails back from that guy with the 92 cummins dodge (from the link I posted) he sent me a bunch of close up pics. There's only one spot of rust on the entire truck, right behind the front wheelwell, the paint's bubbling. I got to talk to my dad about this one

hopefully I can go check it out this weekend.
