rebuilding my broke dana 44 8lug and im wondering if I should really pay twice as much for a detroit locker when I can get a lockright WITH gears for less? Help me decide guys....

mike

If mine works full time in the rear of a full bodied truck , a part time front should be no problem ( maybe a shaft or two snaps though occasionally :wink1: ). Ya put maybe 500 miles a year on a part time front if ya wheel a lot :D

hmm... well I guess my open diff carrier is still good but I shredded all the innards for it... maybe I *WILL* go w/ a lockright. detroit sounds good but I guess when you're not made of money, sometimes you have to sacrifice. The lockright is made by richmond, should I go w/ richmond gears? Been a long time since I messed with R&P gears and there are a lot of makers out now!

any names I should stay away from or that you guys recommend? Tempting to go w/ richmond gears w/ my richmond locker...........................

thanks
mike
