Help! Need answers! 400 sbc to 454 tbi

Hi. I have a 83 k20 that has a sbc 400 bolted to a sm465 4 speed and need to know if the 89 454 bbc with tbi that I just bought will work in its place?

it will you will need a flywheel for the 454. Radiator, if in good shape, will work for 454. If you are keeping the tbi you'll need the computer , wiring, and in tank pump. If switching to carb, the block may or may not have a finished boss for a mechanical pump. I would use and electric pump in, or near the tank.

Well, what if it doesn't? You had some other reason to buy this engine, application unknown?

We need some pics, as there were no 400 SBC in 83, so stuff has already been swapped. Plus, pics of cool old square bodies is the fuel that keeps this place running.
