As the title says
I went to an alignment shop to get my sons k20 alignment an was told it needed all sorts of wrk done before hand.
I remember reading a thread were someone mentioned "green ball joints or a kit from Amazon" but can't find it.

Mevotech TTX are the green ball joints. I’m running them on a dana 44 however it’s a fresh build so I don’t have any feedback on longevity.

I run moog for the rest.

moog everything
tie rods
drag links etc etc
why swap out every 2 years (out of curiosity)

Thanks to all for the encouragement
I guess moog it is.
Good thing I already have all the parts except for toe rods. Was collecting parts for when I get around to rebuilding the fron end on my 83 k5.
But the sons truck is more important to have safe.
Now I know what I will be spending my next day off doing. Showing him how to do it, while I supervise
@ktmoutfront now my son wants to see if his truck can get all 4 tires off the ground like your rig.
I told him once he is 18 an older (he just turned 17 and got his license) an he can do what ever he wants as long as.I dont know about it, an more importantly as long as im not paying

So pulled the trigger on all Moog parts
now my question is the sleeve for the upper ball joint adjusting sleeve s it torque to 50lb pounds?
my google foo is has been failing lately.
should be a fun fri afternoon as long as the temps stay above 45 here in my neck of the woods

Ball Joints: Torque the lower nut to 80-90 lb-ft, then torque the upper sleeve to 40-45 lb-ft, then the upper nut to 80-90 lb-ft.

Sure you’re pressing them from the correct side? Forget which way it goes, but look carefully. First time I did it I was going the wrong way.

I was able to get the knuckle out
the ball joints both press downward to remove
I've removed all snap rings an have everything loosend up

Wait, are they frozen in the ‘C’? How are you trying to separate the knuckle from the C?

they are frozen up in there
just trying to figure out how to get the old ball joint out to remove everything
I'm working on the driver side side
